as well as administrative support. All advisers are trained to Masters
level and most have at least five years professional sustainable
development experience. Where specific projects require specialist

Dave Knight
Dave specialises in corporate responsibility and sustainable development strategy development. Widely experienced in sustainability management and training in the private, public and NGO sectors, Dave has a particular interest in producer responsibility and embedding sustainability thinking into corporate practices. He is a regular contributor to many leading collaborative projects and has published articles and chapters in both corporate and specialist publications. Dave has presented at numerous conferences and events often speaking in his capacity as a Director and co-founder of Sd3.
Jason Perks
Jason specialises in the field of sustainability, with a particular interest in communications, strategy and partnerships. With over thirteen years' experience in environmental and sustainability research and advice, Jason has a distinguished record working with a wide range of organisations, including trans-national corporations, small businesses, governments and non-governmental organisations. His recent projects include reporting, benchmarking, risk and opportunity assessments, business case development, policy and strategy development as well as non-financial report assurance and training. He has presented at international conferences and regularly addresses corporate boards on sustainability. Jason is a Director and co-founder of Sd3.
Ian Buckland
Ian has over 15 years of environmental and later sustainability consultancy experience with clients drawn from major UK and global businesses. His sectoral experience includes construction, pharma, FMCG, utilities and financial services. While latterly his expertise has been applied in the development of corporate sustainability strategy, he has a strong background in communications having led teams on over 20 corporate sustainability reports. Other areas of interest include sustainable brands and report assurance. His practitioner based research has been published by the think tank The Centre for Tomorrow's Company and in various practitioner journals. Ian is a Principal Advisor at Sd3.
Alex Nichols
Alex has 14 years of experience in a variety of projects in private and public sector organisations. His sustainability management, management consultancy, communications and marketing interests have been applied to corporate responsibility reporting, materiality, creating and protecting business value through sustainable development, local development and the social economy, and environmental best practice projects. Alex trained in environmental assessment and management, is fluent in French and has managed successful industrial and NGO projects in the UK and abroad. He is a Principal Advisor with Sd3.
Sharmel Jehangir Ali
Sharmel joined Sd3 in June 2007 as a Sustainability Advisor and brings with him particular interests in business sustainability strategy and sustainable development in emerging economies. Prior to Sd3, Sharmel had a total of four years commercial experience with Citigroup (Malaysia) and Carphone Warehouse Plc. He has experience in a variety of sustainability projects including producer responsibility, sustainability reporting and strategy. Sharmel has an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London where he specialised in Business and Sustainability and attained a distinction for his thesis on sustainability management systems. He is fluent in Malay.
Sini Forssell
Sini has a background in communications and joined Sd3 in July 2007 as a Sustainability Advisor. At Sd3, Sini has developed her expertise in sustainability reporting and assurance, with a special focus on the hospitality sector. Prior to Sd3, Sini worked at a Finnish social and sustainability communications agency where her work included the creative planning and project management of various campaigns. Sini holds an MSc in Marketing Communications, has wide international experience and is fluent in Finnish and Swedish and proficient in French.
Olivia Watson
Olivia has several years' experience working on projects in the areas of climate change, corporate responsibility, and international development. She has previously conducted corporate responsibility research on behalf of institutional investors, including on the risks presented by climate change and relevant opportunities for investor engagement in the oil & gas, food, and transport sectors. She has further experience in developing grant projects in Central and South America. She is a Sustainability Advisor with Sd3.
Elvin Ozensoy
Elvin has two years experience working with government bodies and businesses in the ICT, energy and utilities sectors in the UK and Turkey. She has also worked for AccountAbility principally on the Accountability Rating and regional responsible competitiveness before joining Sd3 in February 2008 as a Sustainability Advisor. Her key areas of experience are producer responsibility, sustainability ratings, waste management and stakeholder engagement. She originally trained as an environmental engineer and also holds an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College, London. She is fluent in Turkish.
Uju Maduforo
Uju has a background in accounting and administration and joined Sd3 as Office Manager in June 2007. Uju has over 6 years experience in finance and strategic level administration in the private, public and NGO sectors, and has responsibility for managing the accounts, office functions and processes of Sd3 in the UK. In addition to work and voluntary interests, she is studying towards completion of a professional accountancy qualification.
MinGu 'MG' Jun
MG specialises in sustainability management
systems and standards, including ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, SA 8000,
AA1000AS and GRI. Prior to joining Sd3, he worked for over ten
years at leading Korean and international certification bodies
and consultancies, including BSI and KMA (Korea Management Association).
MG has delivered sustainability report assurance and reviews for
leading Korean companies including SAMSUNG SDI, SAMSUNG Electro-Mechanics
and SAMSUNG Electronics. MG is Divisional Manager of Sd3 Asia
based in Seoul, Korea.
HyoYeon 'Annie' Choi
Annie has a background in international sales and marketing, and joined Sd3 Asia in August 2007. She has over three years' project support experience in mobile phone supply chain management. Annie has travelled widely in Asia, and has also worked in market research for new business in Indonesia and as a translator for Korean team members setting up quality systems at Samsung India's mobile factory. Annie manages the marketing of training courses and the office administration of Sd3 Asia.
Collaborations
Sd3 works in partnership with a number of other organisations including BISD and BSI in Korea, RazorView in the Middle East and MaS Business in Spain.
