Sd3 Gains Major Assurance Accreditation
AISE, the International Association of Soaps, Detergents and Maintenance products in Europe, has selected Sd3 as an official verifier of its Charter for Sustainable Cleaning which was launched in 2004. The charter is the first common approach to promote and demonstrate continual improvement in the sector's sustainability in Europe. Welcoming the Charter Catherine Day, Director-General of DG Environment said: "I'm pleased to see that industry is taking a proactive role in promoting sustainable development. I believe that private sector initiatives such as the Charter are necessary in the process towards sustainable development. We can only shift towards sustainable consumption and production patterns if we have the engagement of all stakeholders and especially business."
